What Is Delta-8-THC?
THC extracts contain two similar tetrahydrocannabinol molecules: Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC. While Delta 9 and CBD are primary cannabinoids, Delta 8 is a secondary cannabinoid that is known to be slightly less potent than Delta 9, which results in less anxiety than Delta 9 THC.
Many cannabis users report specific health benefits from using Delta 8 THC syrup and other smokeable and edible THC products, and some clinical studies support these claims. Survey respondents reported benefits from Delta 8 THC products for panic attacks, anxiety, stress, bipolar disorder, depression, and chronic pain.
When Congress passed the Farm Bill in 2018, it legalized growing hemp plants for commercial use and removed hemp from the list of controlled substances. The Farm Bill led CBD and THC growers and manufacturers to create additional cannabinoids from CBD sources, including Delta 8 and Delta 10.
The molecule for Delta 8 THC forms a double bond on the eighth carbon atom, while Delta 9 forms a double bond on the ninth carbon atom. Many users now prefer Delta 8 THC products as they often don't experience some of the more negative side effects that can come with using Delta 9 THC products. However, some states limit access to Delta 8 products. Delta 9 is legal in all 50 states.
What Is Delta 9 THC?
Delta 9 THC is the primary cannabinoid found in hemp plants. It is one of the cannabinoids that offers pain relief, increased appetite, and reduced anxiety in many medical and recreational marijuana and hemp users. However, Delta 9 THC can also lead to adverse side effects, including paranoia, anxiety, dry mouth, and brain fog.
Although Delta 8 THC doesn't usually produce the same adverse effects that some users can experience with Delta 9 products, many states limit the sale or purchase of Delta 8 products. However, Delta 9 products are legal and accessible in all 50 states under the 2018 Federal Farm Bill.
Benefits of Our Syrups
At Delta 8 Pro™, we've developed our THC syrup products to use only the best ingredients derived from industrial hemp. We also include vegetable glycerin and natural flavoring for a rich flavor that blends well with your favorite snacks and drinks.
Our Delta 8 THC syrup contains 300 mg of Delta 8 THC per 60 mL bottle. With six servings per bottle, you'll get approximately 50 mg of Delta 8 THC per serving. Our Delta 8 THC syrup comes in two delicious flavors: strawberry and grape.
At Delta 8 Pro, we produce quality Delta 8 syrup to provide superior pain relief, stress reduction, and increased appetite without the jitters or anxiety sometimes associated with Delta 9 products. How To Use a THC Syrup Product
These syrups are easy to use creatively in drinks and snacks to impart a delicious flavor while incorporating THC into your diet. Some cannabis and hemp users prefer edibles over smoking or vaping, making a THC syrup product the perfect option.
Unlike chocolate or gummy edibles that can melt or stick together, adding THC to a beverage, dessert, or snack can make it easy to get the proper dose to meet your needs. The fact is that everyone reacts to specific doses of THC and cannabinoids differently. Being able to control the amount you ingest is a crucial advantage of our Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC syrups.
While each bottle of our products contains a recommended dosage of 50 mg of the active THC ingredient, you can adjust the portion as necessary to get your desired effects. Add our flavored syrup as desired using the measurement lines on the side of the bottle to increase/decrease the flavor and potency of your favorite drinks or snacks.
Recipe ideas to incorporate our THC syrup products include the following:
- A strawberry shake with ice cream, milk, and strawberry-flavored THC syrup
- A peanut butter and jelly sandwich with grape or strawberry syrup mixed into the jelly of your choice before spreading.
- Flavored juices spiked with our THC syrups, like tropical fruit syrup in mango or orange juice or strawberry syrup in lemonade.
- Seltzers or sodas flavored with our syrups, like grape or strawberry kiwi syrup in lemon-lime soda.
- Ice cream topped with chocolate sundae syrup and our strawberry-flavored THC syrup.
- Plain yogurt topped with flavored syrup for extra sweetness and a fruity kick.
How It's Made
Our syrups naturally contain just three ingredients:
- The active cannabinoids extracted from industrial hemp.
- Vegetable glycerin
- Natural flavors
In our Delta 8 syrup, the active cannabinoid is just Delta 8 THC. In our Delta 9 syrup, the active cannabinoids include full-spectrum hemp extract with Delta 9 THC, CBD, CBN, CBG, and CBC.
The discerning customer can choose from several natural flavors. Our Delta 8 THC syrup comes in grape and strawberry, while the Delta 9 THC syrup adds strawberry kiwi, lemon-lime, and tropical fruit to its flavor lineup.
Our Delta 8 syrup offers six servings per bottle, with a serving size of approximately two teaspoons, while our Delta 9 syrup offers four servings, each serving measuring about three teaspoons. It doesn't take much to feel the effects of one of these delicious syrups in a snack or beverage.
How Syrups Work
You have several options for using your favorite THC syrup. These edible products allow you to control your dosage of active cannabinoids effectively while enhancing your favorite beverages or snacks. These syrups taste great in cold or warm drinks, but high heat exposure is not recommended.
The cannabinoids in our THC syrups can block specific pain receptors for fast pain relief and stimulate appetite in cancer and HIV/AIDS patients. They are also clinically shown to reduce nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients.
But how do these syrups work? Taking THC through oral ingestion allows your stomach and liver to process the cannabinoids before delivering them into the bloodstream. While it's a slower process than smoking or vaping, which moves the active ingredients into your bloodstream nearly instantly through the alveoli of the lungs, the effects may be more potent when using an edible.
The time difference between smoking or vaping and ingesting THC products varies from person to person. Some users may feel the effects of an edible within about half an hour, while others may require up to two hours to feel the effects.
If you don't feel the effects of the THC within one hour of taking a dose, do not take a second dose; be patient and wait two hours. Using edible forms of THC requires a more extended waiting period, or you may take more than you should and experience some adverse effects, even when using a Delta 8 THC edible product.
Wait at least two hours after taking your first dose before a second dose, and consider taking only a half-dose extra. Everyone's tolerance is different, meaning you may require more or less to feel your desired effects. Edibles also tend to affect people longer than smoking or vaping. An edible THC product can affect someone for an average of five to seven hours, while the effect of smoking and vaping THC products may dwindle as soon as an hour after consumption.
